La popular aplicación de customización de interfaces Themer, ha dejado de estar disponible, de momento, en Google Play, debido a que Apple lanzó una reclamación de copyright que abarca un grueso de 200 temas disponibles para su descarga.
Realmente el tema "Seven" es muy cercano a la interfaz iOS, pero fueron los iconos de dicho tema los que desataron el requerimiento de derechos de autor por parte de Apple. El equipo de Themer eliminó rápidamente el tema con la esperanza de que el problema no fuera más allá, pero una semana después de la denuncia de Apple, Themer ha sido retirada, y es que no es la primera ni la última vez que un desarrollador se topa con la forma en que Google retira las aplicaciones.
El problema reside en que la vuelta de la aplicación no será tan fácil como pinchar un botón para volver a subirla, y es que tendrá que sortear una serie de exámenes que garanticen que no se vuelve a producir la incidencia por la que fue retirada anteriormente, y eso conlleva un tiempo.
Para los que estéis interesados, os acerco la carta oficial que Google envió a Themer tras retirar su aplicación del mercado de aplicaciones:

Lo que en resumidas cuentas viene a decir, que se retira la aplicación por violar una serie de derechos de copyright y a continuación resume varios apartados acerca de los derechos de autor de la normativa de Google.
Sin duda la aplicación Themer volverá... pero es difícil determinar cuando lo hará. Lo que sí es seguro, es que Apple arremete contra todo lo que se ponga en su camino.
